What is PBIS?

PBIS is a process that focuses on improvingour school’s ability to teach andsupport positive behavior for all children.

It is an approach to create a safe and productive learning environment where all children can learn.

What does PBIS look like at Whittier?

Our staff has developed expectations for behaviors in all settings of ourschool. Expectations are postedthroughout the building and on the insideof this brochure.

We will teach, model, practice, and reinforce our expectations of Be Safe, BeKind, and Be Responsible.

We will reinforce positive behaviors by recognizing classrooms and individualstudents throughout the year.

Parent Information Meetings will be conducted throughout the year.

Information and updates will be shared on our website and our weekly newsletter.
